Every couple has their own love story; ours is a combination of chance, faith and a World Series win.

It was the summer of 2012 when, by chance, friends were gathered together for dinner. The topic of Catherine being ‘single’ was brought up. Names were passed around until Michelle brought up her cousin who she thought would be perfect match for Catherine. Reluctant to go on a complete blind date (no picture, no name, no nothing), she accepted, figuring she had nothing to lose.

Saturday afternoon in July, was their first meeting. Catherine didn’t know anything, but to meet at Mission Cliffs in San Francisco for rock climbing. When she entered the gym she immediately spots a tall, handsome man. She knew it had to be him. He walks towards her with a huge smile on his face, “Hi, are you Michelle’s friend? I’m her cousin Michael.” From their first date they instantly became friends. They learned that they were different, but had much in common. They would have spontaneous dinner dates and mini-adventures around the Bay Area.  

Orange October hit San Francisco and they ended up watching every post-season game together. With every high-five and Panda home run they knew what they had was stronger than a friendship.

Their friendship turned into a love neither of them had felt before. He supported her in every crazy scheme she had and she always laughed at all his corny jokes. They share the same love for their family and friends and the same faith in God. After so many adventures together they’re ready for the greatest adventure of all.
